ST. OLAV'S CREAM

Made by Trappistine Nuns in their monastery on an island off the coast of Norway, ST. OLAV'S CREAM is full of vitamins: A, B1, B3, B5, & B6. The Sisters consider it a "treatment" cream because it contains extracts and oils that are known to have anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and skin repair qualities.

Pomegranate oil keeps the skin clear and glowing. Green tea extract reduces inflammation. With 50% aloe vera, and including Shea butter, sunflower, olive, and flax seed oils -- plus extracts of peach, yarrow, and rosemary -- this cream makes a wonderful, lightly fragrant all-around body lotion that your skin will love! Net 150 ml (5.1 oz.)

Tautra Mariakloster: Tautra, Norway

Tautra Abbey or Tautra Mariakloster is the first permanent Cistercian settlement in Norway since the Reformation. It was founded in 1999, near the ruins of a medieval monastery on the island of Tautra in central Norway. Most of the founders came from Mississippi Abbey, in Dubuque, Iowa, along with two Norwegians, one from the monastery of Wrentham (USA) and one from Laval (France). The new abbey was granted autonomy on 26 May 2006. The Trappist nuns hope to be a point of contact and exchange between the Norwegian tradition and Cistercian spirituality.

St Benedict encourages nuns who live according to his Rule to earn their living by the labor of their own hands. Sr GilKrist Lavigne of Tautra had made herbal soap as a hobby at Mississippi Abbey. The nuns decided to make soap production their main industry, and are becoming well known for their fine, all-natural body care products.

This cream feels like a luxury but at an economy price. I found it to be wonderfully soothing and calming on my skin, with the most delicious peach fragrance. A small amount goes a long way, too.
