From St. Meinrad Archabbey
PEANUT BROTHER Chocolate Covenant

The Benedictine monks of St. Meinrad Archabbey created this peanut butter in the tradition of ora et labora (prayer and work). The monks added chocolate, honey, and vanilla to their slightly crunchy Original Grind. It's a rich, sweet treat made with simple ingredients.

Ingredients: Roasted peanuts, baking chocolate, honey, sea salt, vanilla; 16 oz. (454 g) jar

St. Meinrad Archabbey is a Benedictine monastery located among the rolling hills of southern Indiana in a small town named St. Meinrad. It is the home to about 100 monks. Among their main works are a graduate school for Roman Catholic priesthood studies and lay ministry studies; Abbey Caskets, which sells to the public simple wooden caskets similar to those used by the monks; and the Guest House and Retreat Center, which hosts retreats year round.

St. Meinrad was founded by monks from the Swiss Abbey of Einsiedeln in 1854.

We spread the chocolate peanut butter on one oat cracker topped with Trappist Elderberry jelly to start our day. It's a perfect way to get some protein, antioxidants, and sweetness.
