Still used today for beverages and soup at St. Joseph's Abbey (makers of TRAPPIST PRESERVES) in Spencer, Massachusetts, these simple mugs have their roots in France, where children learned to drink from cups with two handles. Thus, monks today are reminded to have the faith and humility of a child.

12-oz. ceramic mug is crafted with the Abbey's shield and hand-glazed brown by American Mug & Stein Co. in East Liverpool, OH. Approximately 3-1/2" H x 6-1/2" W (including handles). 3-7/8" diameter. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
