Kathleen Norris
Kathleen Norris (born in Washington, DC in 1947) is a best-selling poet and essayist. She became known for her writings about Christian spirituality, especially after she became a Benedictine oblate in the late 1960s and spent two extended periods at Saint John's Abbey in Minnesota. Norris has published essays on monasticism in the Gettysburg Review, The Hungry Mind Review, The Massachusetts Review and the North Dakota Quarterly.
She was married to the poet David Dwyer until his death in 2003.
