THE SONG OF A SILENT STONE
A Story of Love
at the Heart of Creation

Iconographer Sheila Keefe and Cistercian monk Mark Delery combine their talents in an original parable of the Resurrection. This story tells of the Resurrection through the "eyes" of the Easter Stone, from the time the stone is brought to the tomb by the gravediggers through the witness of Mary Magdalene and others at the empty grave.

"…Pope John Paul II wrote that 'humanity in every age, and even today, looks to works of art to shed light upon its path and its destiny'. The Song of a Silent Stone shed such light. The text, an original resurrection parable, together with the illustrations which combine the tradition of ancient icons with the stark beauty of primitive art, usher the reader into the charged world of the resurrection. And what a different world that is, one fully alive with prayer and power and peace."

-- Dolores R. Leckey, Senior Fellow at the Woodstock Theological Center in Washington, DC
