St. Vincent Camerata Scholars directed by Fr. Stephen Concordia, OSB, performing Palestrina's Mass setting entitled "Missa: Dies Sanctificatus," with additional chanted music. "We wanted to fill in the other Mass parts in Gregorian chant: the Introit (entrance), the Alleluia, the Gospel of the day, and the Communion antiphons, to evoke what a Renaissance Mass might have sounded like, with some parts sung in polyphony, and others chanted," says Fr. Stephen. Recorded in the St. Vincent Archabbey Basilica.
