CHAPLET OF ST. CHARBEL St. Charbel Makhlouf (1828-1898) was a Maronite monk from Lebanon. He was ordained a priest July 23, 1859. Charbel lived as a hermit from 1875 until his death; his reputation for holiness prompted people to seek him to receive a blessing and to be remembered in his prayers. He kept a strict fast and was very devoted to the Blessed Sacrament. He was canonized Oct. 9, 1977. This chaplet to obtain graces comes packaged with instructions on how to pray it and a picture card of St. Charbel.
