NATIVITY ICON EGG
The traditional icon of the nativity rendered with care and devotion by hand on a large, solid wooden egg. It is filled with details that show the Divine Child as the fulfillment of prophecy (the appearance of the Ox and Ass from the Book of Isaiah). His perfect divinity (the reclining Virgin as a sign of birth free of suffering) and His victory over death (His contrast against the darkness of the cave). Flyer with more information enclosed. Gold highlights, banding and scrollwork. Coated with numerous layers of clear lacquer for a brilliant and durable finish. Each icon is hand-drawn and, therefore, unique. Egg is approx. 5 1/2" high, 4 1/4" wide and 13 3/4" around. Matching wooden stand is 3 1/4" high.
