Marian hymns and chants sung with devotion by the sisters at the Priory of Our Lady of Ephesus: "Ave Maria!" the words of the angel Gabriel are reechoed by each Benedictine of Mary each time she begins a work. All her actions, all her being is consecrated to Mary, Queen of Apostles, knowing, as St. Thérèse said, she is "more mother than Queen." Devotion to Mary is carried throughout the day, at the rosary, and also at Mass and the Divine Office in the hymns and chants recorded here. THERESE'S CANTICLE OF LOVE (CD)
Claire Sokol, OCD, pursued a musical career, majoring in cello performance and graduating from Indiana University. Before entering Carmel she performed with the Omaha, Winnipeg, and Vancouver Symphonies. She composed a hymn, Thérèse's Canticle of Love for the centenary celebrations of the Carmelite saint. More recently she composed the music for a one-woman play, Thérèse, The Story of a Soul and expanded that music for the film score of the movie Thérèse. All three choral renditions of the Canticle as well as selections from the movie soundtrack are included in this CD.

GREGORIAN CHANT: REQUIEM (CD)
This third album of Gregorian Chant by the Norbertine Fathers of St. Michael's Abbey, who have been praised for the quality and vigor of their chant, presents the traditional Requiem music according to the ancient Norbertine Rite, which is similar to the ubiquitous Roman Rite, but is the exclusive patrimony of the Norbertine Fathers.
It was recorded during one of the longest and most violent tempests of 2010. The abbey's cantor, Fr. Chrysostom Baer, decided that, far from detracting from the quality of the recording, the atmospheric effects created by the howling winds actually enhanced the haunting tones of chant.
