By singing the Divine Office, we join in a daily monastic rhythm that anchors us in God---something that Gregory Norbet, a Benedictine monk for 21 years, would know. These beautiful Morning and Evening Prayers include Latin and English Gregorian chants, original compositions, Scripture and original inspirational readings. Arrangements vary from simple a cappella to full choir and instruments including strings piano, flute, oboe, English horn and cello. Together, they offer a sense of the sacred with a blend of both traditional and contemporary. Opening with bird song and church bells and ending with the chirping of crickets, each CD is a gentle, prayerful way to begin and end the day. Each has approx. 30 selections and is approx. 1 hour.
