Fudge (Maple Penuche)
|
From Mount St. Mary's Abbey PENUCHE MAPLE FUDGE
The first monastery of Cistercian Nuns in the U.S. -- famous for their candy-making for almost half a century. "Our candy is a gift of peace and praise of celebration of joy in serving you."
The name is derived from the Spanish word for brown sugar, but its maple flavor makes it a New England favorite. The nuns use cream, walnuts, butter and, of course, real maple syrup to make this delicious treat. Net weight 1 lb.
