Painted in the Byzantine tradition using egg tempera paint with gold leaf gilding, and adhering to the iconographical canons of the Christian Faith, this contemporary icon depicts a standing Saint Paul, clad in a red robe, haloed, and holding a Bible. Except for the halo, it is very similar to an icon housed in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration in Russia. 9" X 18"
