FRATERS
Chocolate-Covered Fruitcake
The monks call them "Fraters" (from the Latin word for "Brother"), but you'll call them "Heavenly"! They start with their own fruitcake, made from an old-fashioned Southern recipe with choice fruits (cherries, pineapple, raisins, dates and papaya) and nut meats (walnuts and pecans) in a brandy- and sherry-laced batter. After the cake is baked and mellowed, it is carefully sliced and, with the art and skill of a professional chocolatier, each piece is smothered in a thick coat of dark chocolate and decorated with white chocolate.
The result is a treat that will bring together fruitcake and chocolate lovers! Enjoy Fraters as a superlative dessert (especially when entertaining) or as a very, very special snack. Six Fraters per box, each weighing approx 2.6 ounces and individually wrapped. Silver-and-black gift box tied with a silver bow makes an elegant presentation and lasting impression.
When shipping chocolate in warm weather (April – October) we strongly urge adding POLAR PACKS. To order Polar Packs, click on the info link below
