Taken from the façade of the Church of Our Lady of Einsiedeln at Saint Meinrad Archabbey, this statue reproduces a sculpture carved by Herman Jogerst, a German prisoner of war whose works grace the grounds and buildings of Saint Meinrad. Statue depicts Saint Benedict, Patriarch of Western Monks. Accompanied by a brief account of Benedict's life and a prayer composed by a monk of Saint Meinrad's. Cast in resin. 10" high.
